Participant reviews:real emotions and inspiration for new adventures

ARTUR
regattaBol d’Or du Léman

I’m used to competitive regattas with professional teams and a focus on result, so I joined this regatta mostly out of curiosity — to see how a more open format works. And I was pleasantly surprised.

Our team brought together people with varying levels of experience, but during training it became clear that everything clicked — everyone genuinely wanted to race and compete, not just go for a ride. The skipper struck a great balance between discipline and enjoying the process.

But the real standout was the atmosphere around us: the city, the music, the great food, and the sheer number of participants. This regatta truly captivated me. I’m glad I gave it a try — this format delivers emotions that pure sport sometimes lack

I had sailed a couple of times before, but it was my first time experiencing a format like this — and it was pure joy! Everything was organized perfectly: the boat, the crew, the hotel, dinners, entertainment — you didn’t have to worry about a thing, just enjoy the moment.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere — it felt like you were in a real race, which was such a thrill, but at the same time everything was easygoing, fun, and full of great people. We trained, we partied, we chatted — it was the perfect mix of adventure, the sea, new connections, and unforgettable moments.

I already want to do it again!

regattaBarcolana

I’d dreamed to take part in the Barcolana for many years. It’s the kind of regatta everyone in the sailing world has heard of. Last year, I finally made it — and the experience exceeded all my expectations.

The scale is overwhelming: thousands of boats of all sizes, all sailing the same course — it’s an absolutely breathtaking sight.
The organization was flawless: the boat was ready, the crew assembled, a great skipper, intense training sessions, and comfortable accommodation.

I truly enjoyed every moment — both on the water and on shore. Thank you for making a dream come true.

After dozens of regattas under my belt, it’s hard to surprise me. I’ve seen all kinds of formats — from intense racing to laid-back sailing trips. But this experience was something entirely different.

Everything impressed me — in the best way possible. First of all, the scale: hundreds of yachts at the starting line, moving so tightly and beautifully it took my breath away. Huge crowds along the waterfront, applause from the shore, photos, cheers — you don’t just feel like a participant, you feel like part of something bigger.

It truly felt like I was part of a one-of-a-kind event!

FAQ

Why do you offer these particular regattas, and what makes them different from the others?

We’ve handpicked regattas that truly stand out. Each has its own unique features, but they all share a few key things:

  • Open to everyone
Anyone can join — on any type of yacht, with any level of experience. These races bring amateurs and professionals together on the same course.
  • Short racing distance
Easy to fit into everyday life — perfect for a long weekend, without the need for complex prep.
  • More than just a race — a citywide festival
Music, street food, local fairs, and thousands of spectators on the shore. It’s a real celebration where you’re not just a guest, but part of the action.
  • Heritage and tradition

These regattas are icons of European sailing. Every year they attract more and more participants — and keep them coming back for the emotions.

What level of experience is required to take part?

The regattas we invite you to join are completely open to everyone. These races bring together beginners and experienced sailors on the same course — and that’s exactly what creates their special atmosphere.

We take care of all the preparation and support you at every step. Before the race, we hold training sessions where you’ll get to know the boat and your team, and explore the course. This helps you feel more confident and understand how everything works.

You’ll always have a professional and friendly skipper by your side — they’ll assign roles, explain what to do, lead the team, ensure safety, and do everything possible to get you to the finish line — and maybe even to victory.

You don’t need to be an athlete or know sailing terminology — all you need is the desire to give it a try. We’ll handle the rest.

How do the training sessions before the regatta work?

We make the most of the days leading up to the race to build a strong, well-coordinated crew and ensure that participating in the regatta is both comfortable and exciting for everyone.

During training sessions, we:

  • assign roles based on participants’ experience and preferences,
  • get familiar with the boat and practice key onboard actions,
  • go through important parts of the course and rehearse maneuvers,
  • review the forecast and discuss the specifics of the sailing area,
  • go over race strategy and tactics.

Training takes place in a friendly, supportive atmosphere under the guidance of an experienced skipper who will be with you throughout the entire event. They’ll explain everything in detail, offer support when needed, and help each team member find their place and feel confident.

By the time the race starts, you won’t just be participants — you’ll be a true team, ready to race!

Who will be on my team?

The maximum number of people on one team is 8, including a professional skipper. The skipper will be with you from day one — introducing you to the boat, explaining how everything works, assigning roles, and helping everyone feel confident from the start.

Your crew may include people with different levels of experience and from all kinds of backgrounds — that’s part of what makes the experience so unique. Some are stepping aboard for the first time, some have been dreaming of joining a regatta for years, and some are seasoned racers returning for new impressions.

We form each team with care to ensure everyone feels comfortable and the group quickly finds its rhythm.

In a regatta, it’s not just about speed — it’s about teamwork. That’s why we do everything we can to make sure that even during training, you already feel surrounded by reliable people you’ll want to cross the finish line with — and share the victory.

What awaits us beyond sailing?

We travel to cities where sailing is more than just a sport — it’s a cherished tradition. Days are filled with thrilling races, while evenings come alive with festivals, concerts, and engaging gatherings.

The program is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail, yet remains flexible. Whether you wish to be at the heart of the action or need time to unwind after the races, the choice is yours. We know the best restaurants and places worth visiting. You have the freedom to choose what your perfect adventure looks like.

What’s the difference between packages with and without hotel stay?

The “With Hotel” package includes single occupancy in a well-rated hotel with breakfast. If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation, you can select the “Without Hotel” option. In all other aspects, the program remains the same — you’ll participate in the same training sessions, the regatta, and enjoy dinners and social activities together.

Is insurance included in the price?

The participation fee includes only insurance for the sailboat. While sailing is generally a safe sport, we recommend that you obtain personal accident insurance for the duration of your trip.

I have my own team – can we participate on a separate boat?

Yes, of course! We’ll be happy to organize team participation for you and provide training if needed. The cost will depend on the number of participants – please contact us for a personalized quote.

Why is it better to go with you instead of on My own?

Participating in a regatta is not just about the beautiful race — it involves a lot of logistics. You need to pay entry fees, find a suitable boat (which can be challenging, especially during high demand or at lake regattas), gather a team, arrange training sessions, and sort out accommodation.

We take care of all of that for you. You simply arrive — the boat is ready, the team is assembled, training is scheduled, the hotel is next to the yacht club, and a dinner table is reserved. We know the best places to eat, where to go after the race, and how to make your trip not only exciting but also comfortable. All that’s left for you is to race, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy every moment.
